TUSCARORA RIDERS MC
Motorcycle Club, Mercersburg, Pa. In Loving Memory of our Fallen Brothers, David "Davy" Stoner - Tony "Head" Mellot - Lewis "Scruff" Ramsey Foster Hugh "Huey" Warren History - The Tuscarora Riders MC was founded in 1989 by Robert K. McCulloh in Mercersburg, Pa. The original By-Laws were adopted and signed by 13 Members all from the Mercersburg / McConnellsburg area. The Tuscarora Riders MC is a "Full Patch" motorcycle club who's membership quickly swelled to over 30 members by it's second year. Drawing members from both Pennsylvania and Maryland into one large chapter based out of a clubhouse in Mercersburg. The Tuscarora Riders "Colors" Orange on Black, consiste of a top rocker "TUSCARORA", a bottom Rocker "RIDERS", a side patch to break the full circle "MC" and the "Angry Screaming Eagle" Center patch. These are worn on the back of their jean cut off or leather vest and visible from 150 feet. In addition there is a front patch that is to be worn over the left breast pocket or heart that states the club name. The Tuscarora Riders MC prove themselves to be not only a very social organization but also a very charitable one. They participate annually in area MDA rides and other charitable fund-raisers put on by other area motorcycle organizations such as ABATE & HOG in addition to their own events. The Tuscarora Riders in the past have Sponsored Toy Drives for the underprivileged children & Canned food drives for the homeless in Franklin County. The club held Poker runs yearly to help the Mercersburg Police department's weekend get away for the area youth group (MAYO), and were the original sponcers for the Operation God Bless America Motorcycle ride for Veterans, year 1. In addition to their "Full Patch" members, the Tuscarora Riders also have a social membership to riders that wished to support the club and its events, but are not ready to wear the clubs colors. "Full Patch" members were and are all considered lifetime members and social memberships are renewable in January of each year. Over the years the Tuscarora Riders boasted a membership of over 50 "full Patch" and social members and have had "Full Patch" members that that owned 3 of the areas Motorcycle shops. After many great years, the Tuscarora Riders MC became inactive in organizing charity rides of their own mostly due to the death of several quality members, Others having to move away due to work and some with family commitments that took away their ability to support the club activities. The members of the Tuscarora Riders MC have always said this will just be a brief pause. Currently - The Tuscarora Riders MC, still holds annual reunions and its members still get together to ride and enjoy the brotherhood only those who have flown colors can truly understand.
