Made by Glass Companies such as:  Fenton, Northwood, Hobbs, Jefferson, Buckeye Glass, Dugan, Fostoria, West Virginia Glass, National, Model Flint, and many others.

From its inception in the 1880's opalescent glass has had a widely receptive audience. It was first introduced in England, then brought to America, were it met a young but growing market that was ready for a touch of brightness and beauty. Victorian period Americans loved it and it has been highly collected ever sense. A form of Art glass getting its name from the Opal Milkyness found on its edges or in the decoration/pattern in the glass.  Opalescent glass is collected on two groups, Early 1880-1940 and later made after 1940.  Opalescent glass is still made today and collectors should take the time to learn new from old. Some old patterns are very rare and hard to find drawing high premiums. As with all collectible items when the prices get high someone will try and reproduce it.  If you decide to collect high end Opalescent glass, I would suggest investing in some reference books.  They will more than pay for themselves over time.

Description: Here we have a very nice Blue Daisy & Fern Opalescent cruet with stopper. It is in very good condition with no chips cracks or heat checks.   There were several glass companies made this pattern so we can't say for sure who it was made by, However we are leaning towards either Northwood or Fenton.
